About Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida
Join the Spina Bifida Association at the 2017 Greater D.C. Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida to be held at Watkins Park - 301 Watkins Park Dr. in Upper Marlboro, MD.
Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida is a family friendly, non-competitive one mile walk featuring an Interactive Festival, and Adaptive Health Fair that raises awareness about Spina Bifida and celebrates the accomplishments of the approximately 177,000 Americans living with the challenges it brings. Event proceeds support local community programs and services for all individuals affected by Spina Bifida, as well as national awareness, prevention, and research initiatives.
The name “Walk-N-Roll” was selected because it embodies a sense of inclusiveness and invokes the sense of empowerment which the Spina Bifida community embraces in all that it does. A belief in a better tomorrow is our vision and the activities that take place during these events represent the progress made towards realizing that goal.
