About Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida
Join the Spina Bifida Association at the 2017 Carolinas Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida, presented by Novant Health. This year's event will be held at Symphony Park - 4400 Sharon Rd. in Charlotte, NC.
Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida is the Chapter's largest fundraising event of the year! This family friendly event is centered around a non-competitive one mile walk and features an Interactive Festival and Adaptive Health Fair to raises awareness about Spina Bifida and celebrates the accomplishments of the approximately 177,000 Americans living with the challenges it brings. Event proceeds support local community programs and services for all individuals affected by Spina Bifida, including quarterly Chapter socials and emergency assistance grants for local families in need, as well as national awareness, prevention, and research initiatives.
The name “Walk-N-Roll” was selected because it embodies a sense of inclusiveness and invokes the sense of empowerment which the Spina Bifida community embraces in all that it does. A belief in a better tomorrow is our vision and the activities that take place during these events represent the progress made towards realizing that goal.
We're thrilled to announce that City BBQ will be returning to this year's event to serve up a free lunch following the walk! More details about the 2017 Carolinas Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida coming soon!
