About Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida

Join the Spina Bifida Association at the 2017 2017 Houston Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida to be held at Bunker Hill Elementary School in Houston, TX. 2017 is a huge milestone for Walk-N-Roll Houston as this is our FIFTH year hosting the event!

Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida is a family friendly fundraising event, centered around a non-competitive one mile walk. The event also features an Interactive Festival, and Adaptive Health Fair in effort to raise awareness about Spina Bifida and celebrate the accomplishments of the approximately 177,000 Americans living with the challenges it brings. Event proceeds support community programs and services for individuals affected by Spina Bifida, as well as national awareness, prevention, advocacy, and research initiatives.

The name “Walk-N-Roll” was selected because it embodies a sense of inclusiveness and invokes the sense of empowerment which the Spina Bifida community embraces in all that it does. A belief in a better tomorrow is our vision and the activities that take place during these events represent the progress made towards realizing that goal.
